The Healthways company opened its doors in Germany in 2007. The idea was hatched in the USA, where Healthways is the largest provider of high risk and disease management programmes (DMP). This structured treatment programme was launched in the USA in 1981 and over 2.5 million Americans are registered in the programme. There have been disease management programmes in Germany since 2002.
Over 100 registered nurses at the medical service centre located in Hennigsdorf, Brandenburg provide active health care to chronically ill people to improve their state of health.
When setting up workstations for their own employees, Healthways has always lead by example and furnished the entire service centre with VitalForm1 series sitting/standing workstations.
