The acoustic situation in offices significantly contributes to employee performance. Above all, permanent background noise from ringing telephones, running printers, or the conversations of colleagues in group or combination offices, or opens spaces compromises the ability to concentrate. The problem is frequently intensified by a host of sound-reflective surfaces on the wall, floors, and ceiling.
There are a wide range of options to create good acoustic room conditions. The Soundwave® wall elements from the Swedish manufacturer
OFFECCT are highly efficient and extremely decorative. The elements created out of moulded polyester fibre by Finish designer Teppo Asikainen in 1999 gives walls a unique structure thanks to their three-dimensional design. They also effectively abate the disturbing effect of voices, telephone ringing, or the hum of PCs. The Soundwave acoustic elements are very easily installed and removed. If rooms are redesigned, the acoustic measures are not lost, but rather can be easily moved to another location. The 58x58 cm elements allow surfaces to be created in order to suitably meet the required noise dampening measures.
